I got to see a good amount of arrivals and departures on the 6's today, despite rainy weather early on. I caught a United 757 and a Frontier A320, as well as lots of the standard CLE visitors *PHOTOS*Airport: CLE
Location: Aerospace Pkwy Lot Time: 4:30pm-6:30pm Today I got really lucky, i got to see a 747-400 from Dubai, an unmarked 737-300 operated by Sky King, and some other cool planes from the Restaurant parking lot. The 747 is in town for a Cleveland Clinic visit, I think. This is my first time catching a 744 landing at CLE! There was also and FAA King Air doing some pattern and approach testing. *PHOTOS*Airport: CLE
Location: 100th Bomb Group Restaurant parking lot Time: 1:50pm-3:50pm Spotting from the Aerospace parking lot, saw a FedEx A300 and some near misses with birds. *PHOTOS*Airport: KCLE
Location: Aerospace Pkwy Parking Lot Time: 7:15pm-8:35pm Today I made another trip to ORD, this time spotting arrivals on runway 14R (and a few on 10). I didn't see as many heavies as last time, however I did see the Cargolux 747-8, as well as an American 777 and a few others. I also saw one of Alaska Airlines' special liveries, as well as 2 from American Eagle, and a lot of SkyWest planes. *PICTURES*Airport: ORD
Location: Warehouse parking lot Time: 4:00pm-6:00pm Right now I am on vacation in Chicago, so I made a stop at O'Hare Airport to catch some heavies that never come to CLE. I saw 6 different 747s (Including a 747-8 from Cargolux!) and lots of A330s, A340s, 767s, and 777s. I also saw some familiar visitors such as ERJs, CRJs, and others. Be sure to check out all my photos! *PHOTOS*Airport: Chicago O'Hare (ORD)
Location: Beeline Dr. Parking Lot Time: 11:15am-3:00pm Did some great spotting out on the south end today, from the Aerospace Pkwy hill. Caught a good variety of planes including the rare Allegiant Airlines MD-87, a tiny Eclipse 500 bizjet, and of course a United 757. There was also a little Piper Cherokee which is unusual at CLE.
